A highly significant reduction in ulcer (measured in mm) was observed in the experimental group than the control, with a mean difference of −1.16 (confidence interval [CI] = −2.22 to– 0.09; P < 0.001**; Z = 2.13) from the treatment initiation to pre-fixed follow-up period [ Figure 2 ].
