Effect of ultrasonic parameters on CA yield of ultrasound‐treated HS extract The predictive equation obtained from the results for explaining the effectiveness of the ultrasonication pretreatments of HS extracts for optimal extraction of CA with high yield was written in coded terms after exclusion of insignificant variables as: (5) CA yield mg / g = 2.44 + 0.3875 A ‐ 0.1917 C ‐ 0.1158 D ‐ 0.185 AB + 0.78 AC + 0.1225 AD + 0.21 BC + 1.7 BD ‐ 0.24 CD + 1.1 A 2 + 0.7003 B 2 + 0.3652 C 2 + 0.094 D 2 Among the linear terms: frequency (A) and temperature (C) were extremely significant factors that influenced CA yield, followed by time (D) while the effect of power density (B) was insignificant though positive (Table 2 ).
