After controlling for all covariates, under the significance level of 0.05, a significant serial mediating effect of perceived control and panic (i.e., perceived scarcity → panic → perceived control → panic buying) was found (0 was not included in the 95% confidence interval, 95%CI), and the direct effect of perceived scarcity became smaller and marginally significant when the indirect effects were separated from the total effect.
