According to the analysis of the 2475 subjects with established coronary atherosclerosis, CAD severity (defined as atherosclerosis extent and stenosis severity based on the modified Duke prognostic index) was a highly significant predictor of all endpoints (all-cause mortality, MI, CV death, hospitalization for unstable angina, heart failure or resuscitated cardiac arrest), with a good performance in stratifying prognosis according to graded disease severity.
