Loci that reached a plateau or showed an exponential trend in their estimated private allele frequencies (selection thresholds were fixed to ≥ 50 and ≥ 45% of privale allele frequency, respectively) were considered as potentially useful for tracing the origin of pangolins found in the markets, whereas loci showing a decreasing trend were discarded.
