The present study revealed highly significant differences between HCC and HCV groups regarding age, sex, creatinine levels, prothrombin time, alpha fetoprotein (AFP) level, aspartate amino aminotransferase (ALT) level (P value < 0.005), in agreement with a previous study (Aroucha et al., 2016) found highly statistically significant differences with AFP, AST, and total bilirubin levels (P value < 0.0001) between HCC and HCV groups.
