The normal copy number of topoisomerase 1 in patients treated with the CAX scheme was associated with a lack of response to treatment in 85.7% of patients (6/7 cases, p = 0.03); 50% of patients with a thymidylate synthase deletion responded to the CAX treatment, while in patients with stabilization and progression, no deletions were observed (the relationship was at the level of a pronounced trend, p = 0.07) ( Table 3 ).
