However, although the abundance of Firmicutes in the HFD + MDP group showed a decreasing trend (73.68 ± 6.74%) compared to the HFD + PBS group, there was no significant change in the abundance of Firmicutes between the NCD + PBS group and HFD + PBS group (NCD + PBS: 86.43 ± 5.015%, HFD + PBS: 82.03 ± 9.28%), which is consistent with the study of Xie et al.
