While the analysis of PTH events of our 300 patients also showed a highly significant rise in nocturnal frequency of bleeding, we could additionally demonstrate that with longer duration after initial surgery, the rate of PTH events during the night increased even more compared to diurnal episodes—adding pertinent details relevant to the preoperative informed consent and postoperative management.
