These aspects were also discussed in two recently published systematic reviews and meta-analyses, which found no significant risk reduction of allergic diseases (atopic eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis) in childhood with supplementation of Ω-3 LCPUFAs during pregnancy [ 1 , 145 , 146 ] but showed a positive trend in terms of a protective effect on the development of asthma/wheezing [ 1 , 145 ].
