Based on guidelines for interpreting Bayes factors ( 55 ), BF ROPE values > 3 provide substantial evidence in favor of the alternative hypothesis (i.e., the parameter value is large enough to be practically significant), whereas BF ROPE values < 1/3 provide substantial evidence in favor of the interval null hypothesis (i.e., the parameter of interest is so small that it is practically equivalent to zero).
