In Appendix A , we provide more details about these priors and about how to reproduce this analysis using JASP. In particular, we can see how dark traits (i.e., psychopathy, machiavellianism, and narcissism) are negatively associated with need for cognition, although those associations are barely significant (i.e., they have negative Pearson’s r coefficients but very small Bayes factors).
