Blood tests revealed an initial increase in markers of myocardial injury (peak high-sensitivity troponin 2,474 and 1,414 ng/L and isozyme creatin-kinase MB 80.4 and 50 ng/ml respectively) and C-reactive protein levels (peak 1.9 and 2.16 mg/dl respectively), with a decreasing trend until complete normalization before the hospital discharge.
