The estimates derived from the inverse probability weighting model for descending transition patterns remained statistically significant, with ORs of 2.2 (95% CI 1.32, 3.79) for maternal overweight at pre-pregnancy, 3.89 (95% CI 1.25, 12.06) for infant overweight at time 1, 4.16 (95% CI 1.40, 12.28) except for maternal educational history, which had an almost identical estimation but fell just short of statistical significance (OR 1.12; 95% CI 0.99, 1.26).
