More specifically, univariate risk estimates analysis showed a significant increased risk of complications ( p = 0.03) in men with higher age at surgery (OR = 1.04, 95% CI: 1.79) ( Table 5 ), and with lower SMA ( p = 0.02), with a decreased risk for each 10 cm 2 increase of SMA (OR = 0.80, 95% CI: 0.66, 0.96), which was borderline significant at the multivariate analysis ( p = 0.05).
