Although such increase is greater than the overall increase in US population over 21 years old (from 72.7% to 73.7%), it is consistent with the statistic reports by AHA, which showed an increasing trend in the prevalence of all major categories of cardiovascular disease in the 2014–2019 period, including stroke, PAD, and CHD[ 13 , 14 ].
