As PGE 2 is well known to play a role in inflammation, the novel role‐sharing mechanisms regulated by EP2 and EP4 receptors may be significant for terminating PGE 2 ‐evoked inflammation and/or maintaining the homeostasis, e.g., of colorectal tissues/cell functions.
