Conclusions In this study, by analyzing the responses of ROS, osmotic adjustment substances, and antioxidants on different tissues of rice under LTS at the reproductive stage, we derived at the following conclusions: First, the amounts of ROS and MDA were almost significantly increased in LJ11 while slightly increased or significantly decreased in LJ25 under LTS; the contents of those osmotic adjustment substances (Pro, SP, and GSH) were all significantly increased in both LJ11 and LJ25; the antioxidant enzymes, except the CAT and POD (upregulated in LJ25 and downregulated in LJ11), all others showed the same trends in LJ25 and LJ11.
