After controlling for various covariates, insomnia indicated a high likelihood of poor self-rated health (Odds Ratio [OR] = 1.58, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.27–1.96, p < 0.001), self-rated happiness (OR = 1.58, 95% CI = 1.26–1.97, p < 0.001), and the MCS (OR = 1.42, 95% CI = 1.14–1.78, p = 0.002), and its association with poor PCS was of borderline significance (OR = 1.30, 95% CI = 0.99–1.72, p = 0.06).
