Critically, a marginally significant signal increase for the production of verbs was observed even for words able to function as either nouns or verbs, such as “dream,” but no effects emerged when unambiguous noun and verb stems were produced in a condition that did not provide syntactic context (i.e., Repeat, where produced words did not acquire an active syntactic role).
