The article by Ren makes a highly significant contribution to the special issue, drawing our attention to the underrepresentation of students in CS, especially women and women of color; the perpetuation of stereotypes, biases and oppressions; and the imperative to challenge these, and ensure CS is truly diverse and inclusive.
