When we incorporated an index of trust in health institutions and professionals, which includes trust in the Ministry of Health, trust in the Institute of Public Health and trust in health workers, in the regression on the variable “If a COVID-19 vaccine becomes available and is recommended for me, I would get it,” trust emerged as a highly significant predictor of positive vaccine intentions.
