The increase in ApoC-III concentrations correlated significantly with fasting blood glucose (FBG) (r = 0.25, p = 6.1 × 10 −5 ) and T2D (r = 0.20, p = 0.002) in Asians Indians while in Hispanics, ApoC-III levels correlated with marginal significance with waist (r = 0.22, p = 0.05) and waist-hip ratio (WHR) (r = 0.24, p = 0.04) and with T2D (r = 0.20, p = 0.04) (Supplementary Fig. 3).
