Consistent with Bauers’ finding [ 11 ], the ILoC study-cohort had lower risk of acute mental health admission (hazard ratio of 0.75, 95% CI: 0.54, 1.03), although they had a marginally significant higher general hospital inpatient admission rate (for mental health or physical health reason) with a hazard ratio of 1.6 (95% CI: 0.96–2.68).
