The relative expression levels of later-stage neural markers [ [32]a , [32]b , 33 ] including TUBB3, ENO2, NCAM1 and NEFM displayed an increasing trend correlated to increasing surface charge on the nanocomposite membranes, with the HC group displaying the highest expression levels of all neural markers analyzed ( Fig. 3 d).
