A study fabricated a non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor to measure salivary glucose with a working range varying from 0.5 to 50 μ g/ml and a detection limit of 1.9 μ g/ml and showed a highly significant correlation (r = 0.96) with blood glucose measured using the finger prick method ( Diouf et al., 2019 ).
