The salt-tolerant cultivars HN85 and DS7 had much lower levels of Na + in the leaves and roots, along with smaller Na + /K + ratios in the roots, indicating that genes involved in Na + efflux at high NaCl concentrations may be significant in these salt-tolerant cultivars.
