Incubation of SZF (0% FS-treated silage) and SLF (0.015% FS-treated silage) as providing substrate incubation resulted in a greater decline in carbon dioxide production ( P < 0.05), whereas incubation of SHF (0.030% FS-treated silage) resulted in a positive trend similar to that of FBC, releasing carbon dioxide for 24 h.
