Conversely, we found a marginally significant negative linear and positive quadratic relationship for saprophytic growth at 20 °C ( y = 201.1 − 31.6 x + 7.3 x 2 ; P linear = 0.10, P quadratic = 0.07) and a significant negative linear and positive quadratic relationship for saprophytic growth at 30 °C ( y = 306.7 − 35.9 x + 7 x 2 ; P linear < 0.01, P quadratic < 0.01) that together suggest the contributions of Voyager OCH1 to saprotrophy are lowest at intermediate copy number.
