In the largest desensitization study to date, patients with recurrent ovarian cancer receiving carboplatin via desensitization had a nonsignificant trend toward increased life expectancy compared to matched controls receiving standard infusion, suggesting that at the least there is no trade-off in terms of mortality [ 31 ].
