However, data released by the Ministry of Agriculture revealed that the fertilizer use intensity (FUI) in China in 2018 was around 0.067 kg per hm 2 , much higher than the world average of 8 kg per mu, despite a decreasing trend, and nitrogen, phosphate, and potash fertilizer are overapplied to varying degrees [ 3 , 4 ], with the utilization rate of these fertilizers at 33%, 24%, and 42%, respectively.
