This finding suggests that male mice undergoing IMR might not experience the same degree of growth inhibition as what is typically caused by continuous MR (Ables et al., 2012 ; Miller et al., 2005 ; Orentreich et al., 1993 ), although the observed difference in the average lean body mass of intermittently methionine‐restricted males and their continuously methionine‐restricted counterparts is not quite statistically significant (Figure 1h ).
