Performing a hyper-geometric test we found that an overlap of 24 genes of the 41 marker gene set and of 7 genes of the 12 gene-panel with the differentially expressed genes, which was both highly significant (p (41marker set) = 6.0 exp −4; p (12-gene panel) = 1,2 exp-5) and extremely unlikely to be explained by chance.
