According to a nationwide cohort study (811,961 individuals, N CeVD death = 23,344) conducted by the American Cancer Society (ACS), the association between residential radon exposure at the county-level and CeVD mortality (per 100 Bq/m 3 ) was either borderline significant (HR = 1.05, 95% CI 0.99, 1.10) or significant (HR = 1.07, 95% CI 1.01, 1.14), depending on the data sources of county-level radon exposure (Table 2 ) (Turner et al. 2012a ).
