Furthermore, using a seizure threshold model in untreated dogs, we found a highly significant positive correlation between CSF GABA and seizure threshold ( Figure 3B ), indicating that the concentration of GABA in CSF is related to GABAergic activity in brain compartments involved in the regulation of seizure excitability ( 192 ).
