Genetic variability of hybrids The analysis of variance for morpho-physiological and yield related traits among 39 test hybrids obtained by the crossing of 13 inbred lines with three testers, showed that the mean sum of squares due to the traits studied were highly significant, indicating the presence of substantial differences among the hybrids for all the studied traits (Table 2 ).
