In addition to these surveys, there is an increasing trend for offshore wind operators to enter into data‐sharing agreements (Executive Office of the President, 2021b ), collaborative research agreements (Vineyard Wind, 2019 ), and investigative partnerships with research institutions (Rutgers Center for Ocean Observing Leadership, 2021 ) that promise to utilize expanding ranges of technology and methods to provide data on the status, distribution, and behavior of marine mammals in the AOCS.
