Although data show a general decrease across time in victimisation rates in both groups (Hymel & Swearer, 2015 ; van den Bedem et al ., 2018 ), the increased risk of bullying tends to remain in time in the LD group (although at the university level the differences are only near to significance), putting in relevance the maintained vulnerability to harassment of individuals with language difficulties.
