eeding, hospital readmission, and emergency department visits,[ 77 ] but there is no clear association between OSA and mortality, ICU admission, hospital length of stay, and cardiorespiratory morbidity.[ 78 ] Serious complications in bariatric surgical patients with OSA are generally low because of an increasing trend toward minimally invasive procedures, improvements in the perioperative care of patients with OSA, and advancements in anesthetic and surgical techniques.
