Although we observed an increasing trend of scholarly publications on the geomorphic and tectonic movement of the Himalayan region after the Gorkha earthquake (Elliott et al., 2016 ; Kargel et al., 2016 ; Mencin et al., 2016 ), studies on the socio-economic dimensions of the most vulnerable Dalit households are scarce.
