The result was a unified model that identified four constructs as most likely to be significant determinants of technology acceptance: (i) performance expectancy (an individual’s belief that a system can help), (ii) effort expectancy (degree of ease associated with the use of the system), (iii) social influence (expectation of others that an individual should use a system) and (iv) facilitating conditions (belief in the existence of organisation and infrastructural support).
