Association of early-life weight gain with atopy There was no significant association of extremely rapid and rapid weight gain groups during the first 6, 12, and 18 months with atopy, although the slow weight gain group during the first 12 and 18 months of life was associated with a marginally significant decreased risk of atopy (AOR, 0.60; 95% CI, 0.38–0.95 for the first 12 months; AOR, 0.55; 95% CI, 0.34–0.88 for the first 18 months) ( Fig. 3 ).
