10 identified a trend of D‐dimer levels greater than 5 μg/ml among patients with acute COVID‐19 and VTE, and acknowledges that D‐dimer levels were not a statistically significant risk factor for VTE potentially due to small sample size of the cohort (odds ratios of D‐dimer as a risk factor was fairly high but failed to reach significance due to the small sample size and approximately 25% of patients with missing values).
