† With the enhancement of molecular weights of the MW-fractionated HAs, an increasing and a decreasing trend was observed for the H/C ratios and the O/C ratios, respectively, indicated that the high molecular weight MW-fractionated HAs contained more unsaturated hydrocarbons and less oxygen-containing functional groups. 29–31 Fig. 1a shows that UV-visible absorbance of the pristine and MW-fractionated HAs decreased monotonously as the wavelength increased and no absorption peak was observed.
