The combination of selection bias and small sample sizes likely explains the counterintuitive (though not quite statistically significant) apparent decline in hazard for GS beyond 20%; our findings should not be interpreted as suggesting outcomes actually improve with higher GS, but merely that the strong effect observed among lower GS values seems to attenuate quite sharply above approximately 10%.
