When excluding from the analysis the patients whose indication for transfer request was severe respiratory symptoms associated with COVID-19 in 2020, we observe a decrease in the number of transfer requests during the lockdown period, which is statistically significant or close to significance when compared to 2016, 2017 and 2019 ( Table A2 , model 2).
