We additionally found a higher incidence in ASD of cranial deformities ( Χ 2 1 = 4.2 , p =.039; OR 2.4, 95 % CI 1.0–5.8), macrocephaly ( Χ 2 1 = 7.5 , p =.006; OR 2.0, 95 % CI 1.2–3.2), calvarian / dural thickening ( Χ 2 1 = 4.3 , p =.039; OR 1.5, 95 % CI 1.0–2.3), ventriculomegaly (enlarged ventricles; ( Χ 2 1 = 6.7 , p =.010; OR 3.4, 95 % CI 1.3–9.2), and hypoplasia of the corpus callosum ( Χ 2 1 = 5.4 , p =.020; OR 2.7, 95 % CI 1.1–6.3), although these results failed to reach significance after correction for multiple comparison ( Table 2 ).
