The rate of carbon clearance was enhanced in a dose-dependent manner (2.67 ± .15, 6.37 ± .47 and 12.5 ± .70) and the increase in phagocytic index (3.1 ± .04, 3.96 ± .06 and 5.28 ± .13) at the doses of 30, 100 and 300 mg/kg, respectively with highly significant effect at higher doses ( Figure 4 ).
