We found that the subgroup of patients demonstrated statistical significance ( p = 0.004) in terms of the summary effect size, while the healthy subgroup did not show statistical significance ( p = 0.191); however, this subgroup showed a strong tendency towards positive effects of CoQ10, with demonstrated marginal significance and the upper limit of the 95% CI just crossing zero (Hedges’ g = −0.338, 95% CI = −0.844 to 0.168).
