Effect of mild intermittent cold stimulation on thymus immune function in broilers.

In the present study, the expression of tls genes in the thymus of broilers, especially considering birds submitted to IMCS, showed a decreasing trend and then an upward trend in the early stages of development in all groups; expression of tls genes in the CS5 group did not consistently show the lowest levels in ICMS late and recovery stages, indicating that broilers might activate different immune responses after 14 days of cold stimulation.
